Located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, Rojo's Tavern stands as a local haven, offering a superb selection of American dishes.
Rojo's Tavern remains a cherished choice among locals and a sought-after destination for visitors alike. With a comprehensive menu and a fully stocked bar, we ensure a delightful experience for everyone in your group, complete with a dedicated children's menu.
Steeped in history, Rojo's Tavern holds a unique charm. Originally erected in the 1920s/30s by Frank Globin as a versatile establishment featuring a gas station, grocery store, bar, restaurant, and hotel, this multifaceted structure has become an integral part of the community. Enduring through the 1960 Olympics and the establishment of South Lake Tahoe in 1965, it has transformed into the beloved Rojo's Tavern we know today. Crafted from locally sourced weather-aged pinon pine and granite rock, reminiscent of materials from the mining and lumber industries of its early days, our establishment boasts a distinctive rustic ambiance, capturing the essence of old Tahoe.
Presently, Rojo's stands as a Bar & Restaurant that pays homage to its original rustic Tahoe atmosphere, specializing in American Fare such as Ribs, Chicken, Steak & Seafood, and Pasta dishes. We extend a warm invitation to you and your friends to join us in this historic and inviting setting!
